We have acquired a limited quantity of  really spectacular live rock, heavily encrusted in purple coraline algae.  Many stores would charge $10/lb for such premium rock, but Amazonia’s price is $8/lb. Mention this email for an additional 10% discount on this rock while supplies last!!!

AquaRadio is LIVE!!

AquaRadio has been in the works for a few months and now all of the new hardware and software has arrived and is currently being installed and tested. We will be presenting a weekly show which will cover various topics relevant to fishkeeping, the latest news in our hobby, as well as some of the most knowledgeable guest
speakers in the aquarium field, today. Our new website is under construction and is on schedule to be completed before our first broadcast. Our list of potential guest speakers is growing daily and new ideas and features for the programming are being discussed and finalized.  We maintain a separate mailing list for the station, in order to assure that you are only receiving email messages that are relevant to your interest.

Although it's best to sign-up for the newsletter, I can tell you that our first guest on the show will be Mr. Mark Denaro, whom many of you know as the current President of the IBC (International Betta Congress) as well as the proprietor of Anubias Design, a highly respected importation company of exotic tropical fish and plants from around the world. Mark will be speaking about the IBC Convention and the collection and importation of rare betta species. His extensive background in various aspects of the hobby, gives him a unique perspective that is bound to be of great interest to all aquarium enthusiasts, regardless of which species they keep.

Amazonia Aquariums Has a new Home!

Hello Everyone!

Amazonia has been waiting on the new store to be finished for over 4 months. The construction has finally progressed enough in the new store to start moving in a little bit. We are rebuilding the stands now and as soon as we get the certificate of occupancy we can actually move in all the way. The new location is so easy to find and is right on IH 35. 4701 IH35 is on the northbound access road just North of Airport and South of 51st and the Mueller development.  One of our signs is up on the west facing wall now. We need permits for the neon and freestanding ones still.  We will be open July 1st and grand opening is July 4th weekend. 

We look forward to showing off our pretty new store to everyone soon.  Our new hours are Mon-Thur 11-7, 11-10 on Fridays, 10-7 on Saturdays and 12-6 on Sundays.   It has been a long haul to get this all ready, but we are approaching the time when we can actually open for business.  The phone number ( 512 451 0958),  will be hooked back up in about 10 days.  Our new website is under construction also.  Stop by and let us know what you would like to see at www.amazoniaaquariums.com.
